Community (Sangha) Page

"Our individual patterns may not be perfect but our group effort creates very positive energy. That's why it is so important to have sangha, together we can be so much greater than we can by ourselves."
--Swami Shambhavananda

Welcome to Eldorado Mountain Yoga Ashram's Community, or Sangha, Page! Sangha is a word meaning spiritual community and there are many ways to become more involved in the Shambhava community. One is to attend our Community Night at the ashram which is held each Monday night at 6:00 p.m.

Boulder CU Yoga Club

All CU students are welcome to attend the Yoga club. There is no fee, it's totally free. You can become a member of the yoga club just by coming. Classes are instructed for all levels. Beginners are welcome! Classes are held all semester long as "drop in" classes (you don't have to come every week, but please come at 6:30 if you are going to attend). Remember to bring a mat or towel.

Seva

Seva is a word meaning selfless service. It is one of the foundations of the Shambhava School·s spiritual practices. We practice seva by offering our time and energy in ways that benefit the ashrams, the sangha and our own spiritual growth. It·s a wonderful way to connect to the abundance of shakti, or meditative energy that exists in the ashram. Typical seva projects at the Eldorado ashram might include cleaning, gardening, or maintenance projects. Repeating mantra while practicing simple tasks helps quiet the mind and increases one·s own inner energy. Eldorado Mountain Yoga Ashram invites you to exchange 4 hours of weekly seva for attendance at Community Night, held every Monday night year round. Call to schedule seva time: 303-494-3051.

"Whatever the assignment, time passes swiftly. It flows with gentle sweetness. Whether I am working at Eldorado alone or with others, I feel the love and companionship of people working together for a common purpose. As I work, I repeat mantra. I am able to let go of much of the stuff I deal with on a daily basis. Much of the time I feel sweet and happy inside. It feels so worthwhile to help make this magical, rejuvenating, spiritual place function as a sacred spot where people of all sorts can come for restoration, spiritual sustenance, and growth! What a privilege to be here!"
--Mukti(B.J.) Miller
